Where The Wild Things Are

Finally someone had the great idea to make Where The Wild Things Are into a movie!  It’s directed by Spike Jonze  and it looks like he hit the nail right on the head!!!  Judging from the trailer, there is a definite Labyrinth feel to the overall art direction, making the film look slightly creepy while still feeling whimsical and playful – which I think is a perfect balance!  I also think that the Jim Henson Company was consulted for this film because there is a decided Muppet-look to the monsters.  I must admit that I was a bit hesitant when I first heard “live action” in relation to this project, but judging from the trailer my worries where unwarranted.  Plus, the kid they cast to play Max is adorable!  The movie should be amazing! I can’t wait!
